Jeffrey Epstein acquired a smaller island - Little St James - back in 1998, but subsequently obtained the more expansive adjacent island in 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
These photos indicate he had formulated plans to transform the substantial island by constructing living quarters, an open-air theater, an submerged workspace and a pool.
