I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
